Hi ind_game, attorney and all readers,
After reading ind_game last quote "God save AC21.....". I have following questions:
1. Do you know any one (your friend, client) used AC21 and faced same problem? Es
2. Is it true that AC-21 info don't get updated in the USCIS records?
3. If yes (2 question), then x-employer I-140 revocation will ALWAYS result in THIS kind of problems (as ind-game is facing)?
4. To attorneys only: Is AC-21 really helpful or misleading? Asking because if it don't update in USCIS records.
Please reply.
thanks,
waitingmygc
Almost everyone who use AC21 and had their ex employer informing USCIS about the job change has gone through this.
There is no case of AC21 being denied. It is the law, no need to be scared if you did everything right.

Any comments on this dual intent option and how it will effect current 485/140 ? As this supposed to effect cases of 140 filed after 15 may 07 ? Or where does it state in bill the same? If thats the case then there is no point of employment based immi at all

The agony is understandable. Even I set my vacation based on an anticipatory AP receipt. I even asked around what are the various methods for accountability that we can hope for but one one seemed to respond excpect for one or two members.

Congrats: I feel better after seeing your posting. Mine too was received by R William at 7.55 on 7/2. May be it is on way too
Thanks. It appears they are working their way through the July 2nd filers. I was getting quite nervous as my current visa expires this year and is non-renewable. If the checks had not been cashed last week, I probably would have re-filed the paperwork this week. (If my attorney thought that would be in my best interest.)
Best of luck to you and all other's that are still losing sleep over this. ;)

This is a great article. We will be making efforts to get it published. if somone can also write on the innvators (http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/opinion/homepage/article_1366853.php) (If you doubt the contributions of foreign-born workers to our country, you simply need to look at the talent that has provided the United States with a high-technology edge. Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, is Russian-born; Intel co-founder Andy Grove is from Hungary; Sabeer Bhatia, co-founder of Hotmail, is from India; Jerry Yang, originally from Taiwan, brought us Yahoo; Pierre Omidyar, founder of eBay, is from France; and Vinod Kholsa, co-founder of Sun Microsystems, is from India.) and how they helped America in the op-ed it will be another angle for us.
The article can talk about the talent, innovation high skilled immigrants bring to this country and be more specific to the greencard process. The above mentioned URL is specific to H1B visa.

Hello All,
Some food for thought.
As I understand we (i.e IV) has 21000 members and 14000 active members. If even each active member contrubute $ 20 per month, that would be $ 420,000 per month or about $ 5 Mn per year.
Imagine the miracles that we can do with that kind of fund!! And I am damn sure that we can afford $ 20 per month. Cost of few gallons of gas per month.
Non contributing, active members! Please wake up atleast now and do some soul searching!!!
I do agree , but I do not see any $20 contribution in google checkout or paypal. We have to mail the checks.I guess we can get more contributions if we include $25,$50,$75 contributions in google checkout as well as paypal.Correct me If I am missing some thing.

True. But why then does an employee want to join such company ? It is not that you are not aware of all these before you step to this country through Infy or TCS ?
I never worked for them. But I have seen so many people suffering and they are ready to suffer to be in the US. I dont want to deviate from the thread..so lets stop this discussion about INFY.

I have been a monthly contributor ($50/month) since December 2007. Already sent mail about a week ago to info at immigratin voice dot org.
Waiting for access... Glad to help in any way I can. I like the idea of having a donor forum. I have seen too many of our posts wind up on the pages of anti-legal immigrant groups over the years.

Hi 9Years,
Do you see any LUD update on your I-485 case ? I think when I-140 was approved and EB3 date got ported, USCIS may have touched the I-485 application.

Does any one know about any fee increase for H1B(Extn) premium processing because of border security bill? I have seen the below in immigration-law site.
------------------
The new filing fees will be a huge amount, especially when they decide to file a premium processing request.

So many idiots here who dont know what marriage means and use their wives as a "maid" for their housework.
yes, my previous reply to your post was a bit sarcastic. Didnt mean to offend anyone!
Using your same token, can we say "there are many idiots here who don't know what parenting is and use their parents to get a life for themselves and then ditch them?"
Dude, straitjacketing doesn't work and as you said, it is totally based on circumstances. :)
