I have sent 50$ to IV through Bill Pay. I have also started a funding drive in my office locally. There are about 20 people in this situation. Lets see if any one contributes.

Folks, I just wanted to add to this email. As this email mentioned, IV is organizing a monumental rally in Washington DC. The estimated turn out for this rally is about 10,000 people. This is our best shot ever. With the successful flower campaign and the San Jose rally we were able to reverse the July bulletin.
I urge you to consider contributing one month�s grocery bill towards this cause. Immigrants are flying in from all over the country. People who cannot attend are sponsoring air tickets and providing accommodation for strangers flying in. The least we can do is contribute a few bucks.
Please make a contribution to IV. You can send in a check or a use google check out or use paypal. We pay thousands in taxes without representation. Donate a fraction of that amount today. Even if you don�t want to donate, go to the website and buy some IV merchandise, Cups, hats and t shirts.

I wasn't planning on porting my PD until I read this nonsense "Injunction" threat. I will now port my PD; GCTest - go and file your injunction. If you don't have enough balls to do that I can lend you one.
That memo/document you pointed out is an interpretation. We have already said that USCIS's interpretation is incorrect. We intend to correct this interpretation with this lawsuit.
Infact, it would be wrong to call this a lawsuit.
We are aiming for an injunction (or a stay order) in step 1 of the lawsuit that would prevent USCIS from working on any interfiling/PD porting requests.
If the injunction is with retroactive effect, all the EBs (not just EB3) who have ported their PDs will have their cases frozen. USCIS would not be able to work on them.
The remainder of the lawsuit can take its sweet time... the injunction should serve the primary cause.

I am going back, but GC is only to keep the door open incase I have difficulty in india and decide to return back to US. In mean time, I will switch jobs on my H1B extensions. ..

Looks like in majority end july through August are pending the receipt of AP not to say some of the guys have still got it but they are from various service centers. Very inconstent. This is a document that has no accountability to be completed by X amount of time but we have all paid fees for it. Come vacation time and no AP, we will have to make the trip without the document. Its not that one decides to go to vacation every month. This is a losing deal for us. How do we address this delay? Infopass does not help I was told unless you decide to lie wholesale.

There are lot of good/standard consulting companies ... Some are 'con' but they can't create massive impact , however the MNC's do MANIPULATION at a large scale.
Do not generalise all consulting companies...At least people working in these consulting companies sponsored GC and buying house and spending their money here. Most of the fradulent GC process was done by these croocked indian companies. They exploited the EB1C system to the maximum extend. Most of the times, they are not filing the GC and keep the employees as slaves or they exploit the EB1c fo their boot lickers.

I think you bring up very valid points. For a lot of ppl who have stayed away from family/extended family for so long, they may not like the constant interference.
"I miss my parents" is not quantifiable but what about the paying back the debt by supporting your aging parents? Let me make the question a little broader, isn't every immigrant divided between doing what's best for the children and supporting the parents?
I dont think one is necessarily doing kids a dis-service by electing to go back. On the contrary, kids experience tremendous personal growth through interaction with extended family which is not possible in a foreign land.

I received good news on June 1, 2007 that my I-140 is approved. It was received by USCIS on May 22, 2007. Then later that day I saw the new immigration bill. If this very unreasonable bill (EB backlog) will be passed the wasting of all the money, time, stress, anxiety and hope towards the GC procedure will make the whole thing look like a bitter joke. This is beyong my wildest imagination on how bad things can go since we are all hard-working and law-abiding legal immigrants. Is it a punishment for being a good member of society?
I'm praying that it will not be given any consideration by those who have powers.

I am trying to pay thru PNC Bank. When trying to add IV, there are 2 options. One is With number and the second Without number.

Dear IV,
Its not about me. I am planning to do a flower or some campaign that all will agree upon in less than a week. We must do before the next bulletin comes out.
Is it possible for IV to send a very good number of flowers to the departments.
i believe IV leadership has mentioned many times that 'more visa numbers' is the only solution to this mess. Which can be only done by changes in law.When IV planned some thing for it (recapture bill phone call campaign) the participation was not great.
I wonder, every one running like headless chicken solves any thing.

But.. when AOS(485) is denied, won't the underlying 140 and for that matter labor is also denied?
Well once the h1b extension is granted - it is not retreated. It means that the person is in h1b status till the h1b expires (My understanding)
Now if 485 is denied when your h1b expiration's last day - then yes you are definitely out of all statuses
Such a thing is rare because person either files for h1b extension well before h1b expires or atleast decided he will use EAD
Issues will arise when h1b has to be extended and person is running out of time on existing h1b and the 140 revoke /485 denial happens (like say few weeks only because person was lazy to file h1b extension atleast 180 days before its expiry and decided to not use premium processing and h1b extension is pending)

I dont see anything about the law suit on OH site.
Can someone explain what "Temporary Restrain Order" would do if it were successful. It sounds to me that the lawsuit is asking the court to temporarily invalidate the July visa bulletin so that USCIS will be forced to accept the applications. Is this a reasonable understanding? Any lawyers here?

I thought Murphy's law of " Whatever can get delayed will get delayed " , applied to me only. Looks like in the US GC process it applies to everybody else also .
