I got the following case status update yesterday:
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Notice returned as undeliverable.
On May 14, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable. This can have serious effects on the processing of this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update the mailing address so this notice can be re-sent.
I have not moved in 2 years and have been receiving notices, EAD cards etc. at this address. I called Uscis and gave them my address again.
Has this happened to anyone before? How long has it taken to resolve the situation. Did you contact your local post office?

Guys, My labor was moved to Dallas Backlog center and got approved in 2006. When I searched its detail in files from flcdatacenter.com, I could not find any labor that matches my ETA number. I am not sure if there is any way to get the details. Though, online status site of Dallas backlog center shows the status but without any usable details. My labor's ETA number starts with D-xxxxx-xxxxx. Does any body has similar ETA number ?

Check the status using the H1B receipt number usually EACXXXXXX or WACXXXXXX

Hi guys,
my friend's situation is like this
1) EB2 is approved through spouse and I-485 is pending ....priority date for this is March 2005
in the mean time EB1- 140 is approved.
so my question is
1) can i apply another 485 while the 1st 485 is pending... ?
2) should I go ahed and apply for new 485 with EB1 any suggestion's are welcome.

My application reached on July 17th but still no receipts received. Called USCIS saying its already 90 days. They took my data and gave me a referal number and asked me to call back after 1 month again... :(
They dint even check whether my data is entered into the system or not.

Well this came out of nowhere. Last night the Senate passed an emergency border enforcement bill that provides $600 million for increased security on the southern US border. The $600 million will come from raising fees on staffing companies. That requirement is only for foreign passport holders travelling on visa/or visa waiver.

I am a Java Developer and I think my company would have filed my labor as a Programmer Analyst. Now I am planning to change my career into SAP functional analyst in financials. I even got a offer from a client and I think their job title and description definitely different.
1) Once I leave my current employer, should I need to work on same job profile or only at the time of GC interview I should have a offer from any employer with same job title & description? (assuming GC will take another 2 or 3 years for me to get and If I work these 2 or 3 years on different job title & description and produce a offer letter with same job title & description from a new employer at the time of GC interview)
If later is correct, then I can produce a offer letter with same job title & description from a new employer.
